Victorian gymnasts put on a powerful display in Portugal

Victorian Aerobic gymnasts Olivia Feaver and Annabel Muttdon donned the green and gold to form part of a national team over the weekend, representing Australia at the Aerobics World Cup in Cantanhede, Portugal.


Representing the state on a global stage, the national team was also led by fellow Victorian, Angela McMillan as senior coach.


Performing together for the first time in their trio with NSW’s Deborah Greenbaum, Olivia and Annabel impressed finishing the qualifying event in seventh place with a score of 19.014.


The trio then went on to finish fifth in the finals with a fantastic score of 19.535.


This year’s was the first Aerobic World Cup held since 2019 with 18 nations represented and more than 80 athletes in attendance over the weekend.


The World Cup was also the first opportunity teams had to perform their routines against the new Code of Points that took effect at the start of the year. 


Next on the international calendar for the trio will be the World Championships in June.


Gymnastics Victoria congratulates these athletes and also applauds the NSW trio of Carissa Uno, Grace Kleppich and Mercedes McIntyre who also competed at the event, finishing in 10th place.
